Matt Carthy: I was looking for clarification, in the first instance, as to whether we have written to GSOC as well on this matter. The length of time, at the best of times, that GSOC investigations take can be quite frustrating for those who are dealing with the system. Separately, can we get confirmation GSOC is on our work plan for next year? It would be useful if we had it appear before the committee.

I refer not to the totality of the core duties of the Garda but to those that relate to GSOC.
