Aidan Davitt: I have been well briefed on the Bill by my colleague opposite, Senator Conway. It is an important piece of legislation. As the Minister of State outlined, the purpose is to transpose Council Framework Decision 2009/829/JHA, which we have been slow in implementing. Fianna Fáil has discussed the Bill and we are happy to support it. I will not delay the House today on the matter.

Aidan Davitt: The CCPC has done great work in the area in the past while. Ireland is a small country with an open economy. The State should warn these insurance companies that if they mess around, the problems they cause will be documented. We must tell them the Central Bank will strongly consider refusing them a licence.
