Tom Neville: When I was on the council in Limerick, there was a problem with the collection of rates in 2014 and 2015 and we put together a rate grant scheme. I do not know if that is run in Dundalk. We found that the collection rate, particularly in vacant properties, has been increasing by 3% or 4%. The figures are relatively small but it is a move in the right direction.
