Tony McLoughlin: I apologise for my late attendance. I have some questions for the Minister of State. One relates to funding of the League of Ireland and the prize money for clubs in the future. This is a huge concern for clubs. I have been a lifelong supporter of Sligo Rovers. Clubs are struggling to survive each year. Deputy MacSharry and I are big supporters of Sligo Rovers, and there is only one Rovers.

Tony McLoughlin: We see the fundraising that takes place in our local community to help Sligo Rovers to survive. There are many other clubs in the country in a similar situation. Tony McLoughlin: With regard to the club with the commitment of €50,000, it has invested €350,000 in an all-weather surface, lighting and so forth over the past 12 months. The €50,000 is the final part of the money. It is vitally important that money would be made available because the contract has been signed and the work has been completed.
