Before I speak directly to the amendments, I wish to say publicly that I raised with the Minister, Deputy Darragh O'Brien, earlier today an issue relating to a person who is homeless and...

Residential Tenancies (No. 2) Bill 2021: Committee and Remaining Stages (23 Jun 2021)

Paul Murphy: These are crucial amendments. Amendments tabled by members of other parties would have a similar effect in terms of ensuring this aspect of the legislation does something meaningful for those who are facing 8% rent increases, rather than just pretending to do something meaningful. Residential Tenancies (No. 2) Bill 2021: Committee and Remaining Stages (23 Jun 2021)

Darragh O'Brien: I can speak to both. I thank the Deputies for tabling the amendments although I cannot accept either of them.
