There is an urgent need to improve safety on our roads, particularly through the midlands. The completion of the N4 motorway through north-west Meath and Longford is of vital importance.

James Bannon: Work has commenced on the new unit in the past couple of weeks. I want to nail the untruth that patients in the Midlands Regional Hospital are falling off trolleys. Management at the hospital complained to me that a statement had been made to this effect. That statement needs to be corrected on behalf of staff at the hospital who are highly qualified and caring and do a wonderful job.
