It has been difficult in recent years to develop a process into which the committee can have an input in consideration of the Estimates. Before I call members, I find the system we have used in recent times of a question-and-answer session with the Minister is more productive from a member’s point of view, as opposed to speaking for seven or eight minutes and not getting the answers to the questions one has raised.
