Jack Chambers: Irish motor tax does not apply to vehicles registered in other jurisdictions. It applies to vehicles registered in Ireland and using the public roads. The Revenue Commissioners is responsible for the registration of vehicles in Ireland, including the re-registration of vehicles registered in other jurisdictions and imported into the State by individuals resident in Ireland.
