Rónán Mullen: Am I not entitled to be heard on a point of order?

Seanad: An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business (18 May 2021)

Rónán Mullen: If the Cathaoirleach is going to privilege people with an extra minute because they were interrupted, will he introduce a penalty for them when they introduce a bogus point of order? This is Senator Bacik's repeated technique. I applaud her talent but I have to point out she is in breach of Standing Orders when she does it.

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Education and Skills: School Bullying and the Impact on Mental Health: Discussion (Resumed) (18 May 2021)

Rónán Mullen: I welcome all our speakers and thank them for their submissions, which I read carefully. As I read through them I found things that I strongly endorse as well as some things with which I disagree with equal enthusiasm. Seanad: Affordable Housing Bill 2021: Second Stage (17 May 2021)

Rónán Mullen: Go raibh míle maith agat, a Chathaoirligh Ghníomhaigh. Cuirim fáilte roimh an Aire. I welcome the Minister, Deputy Darragh O'Brien, and wish him well with this Bill and in the important work that he has before him. That was published in the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. As Members will be aware, the...

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Education and Skills: School Bullying and the Impact on Mental Health: Discussion (Resumed) (11 May 2021)

Rónán Mullen: I wish to follow up on the tech companies with Mr. Arneill or whoever would like to respond. Are we sometimes too afraid to deprecate and to call it like it is with respect to the too early and too frequent access to technology? Is there a tendency, and the research shows it, that the potential for cyberbullying increases as children’s access to technology increases? Do we not have...
