Róisín Shortall: The Committee of Public Accounts recommended that the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Enterprise, Trade and Employment be given a central role in selecting candidates for the FÁS board. Such a provision is not contained in the Bill in which the Minister has taken it upon herself to have full responsibility for all appointments made to the board. That is not progress.
