Patrick Costello: Sometimes, because of our common law system, which is different from many of the European models, it is claimed that we are not comparing like with like but these comparisons are still useful. I appreciate that Ms Jourová said not to reduce it to arithmetic. However, I am concerned because some people are using that here as an excuse to say we are all good, when in reality we are not....
