Is there anything we can do in legislation, beyond introducing the smoking ban, in respect of the confines of a hospital and its perimeter? Jerry Buttimer: I speak for everyone present when I say that it is unacceptable that a person, be it elderly or disabled, is put to bed at 3.30 p.m. because of a diktat from an official. That is not good enough.
