She may recall the sham that arose last year with the two announcements within 24 hours of each other which meant that literally no quota was sold. Seymour Crawford: The Minister has said that what is being made available is similar to last year. However, last year was the lowest for a long time. How does it compare with the previous year and will any steps be taken to encourage the movement?

Seymour Crawford: As a dairy farmer, it is hard at times to understand how, when checks are carried out on our farms by independent cow testers, there is no comparison between such results and those we receive from the milk tank through the creamery. The sooner this is done the better. May we have an assurance that it will be done within months rather than over a longer period?

Will â¬120,000 be the maximum or can herd number be accepted in addition to pig number?
