- Committee on Budgetary Oversight: Public Service Performance Report 2020: Discussion (20 May 2021)
Patricia Ryan: This will probably apply similarly to other areas. The health service has taken an awful battering in the past year. There are already long waiting lists and they are probably going to get much longer. I am concerned about the long-term effects. We need radical action to address it. Are there any plans to recover lost ground and what funding will be available?

- Nursing Homes Support Scheme (Amendment) Bill 2021: Second Stage (Resumed) (19 May 2021)
Patricia Ryan: I welcome the move to address a long-standing issue affecting business owners and farming families under the fair deal scheme. This issue has been raised many times by my constituents. Unfortunately, the move will come too late for many families who will not be able to claw back thousands of euro in fees already paid. While the Bill is a welcome move, we need to do more to facilitate a...
- Affordable Housing: Motion [Private Members] (18 May 2021)
Patricia Ryan: I commend Deputy Eoin Ó Broin. Urgent action is needed if the Government is not to condemn another generation to a yet more precarious rental situation. It goes beyond indifference to describe successive Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael Governments' attitude to housing. Do not get me started on Labour and the Greens. They acted as a mudguard when policies were introduced that stopped...
