Is there an element of anti-competitiveness if insurance is to be taken out of, shall we say, the wishes of the operators? Fiona O'Loughlin: In regard to the procurement process and one company having the monopoly in terms of insurance, what will be the timeframe of that contract?

Fiona O'Loughlin: Based on the responses I received to earlier questions, I assume then that it is mandatory that the institutions would secure insurance from the successful company and would not have the option to go to the private market.

Fiona O'Loughlin: I thank Mr. Anako. I do not think redundancies are a matter for teachers. Rather, it is about income continuance. There were cases where teachers were owed money but did not receive it, which obviously had a significant impact on their livelihood.

Fiona O'Loughlin: In its submission, the ETBI stated it would request a clearly defined transition period and transitionary arrangements, which would be important. I call Mr. King.

Fiona O'Loughlin: I said earlier that we would not be taking any further submissions because of our short timeframe. Mr. King has said he may by this time next week have a clearer vision of the way forward in the engagement so it would be very useful for the committee to have a written statement from Mr. King prior to our committee taking this legislation in two weeks. Would that be okay?
