In fact, on the last occasion when the HSE appeared before us, a representative quoted the legislation to us. Why would Mr. Poole consider it necessary, therefore, to specifically instruct the HSE not to disclose the information to the Committee of Public Accounts?

John McGuinness: In 2008, Rehab paid someone, perhaps Mr. Flannery, €68,750 for consultancy work and was paying its senior executives in the region of €200,000. I know Mr. Poole cannot comment but he will agree they were well paid and looked after. There were bonuses forgone, etc., and arrangements were in place.
