Brendan Howlin: I have been informed by the Valuation Office that it provides customers with photocopies of extracts from the valuation books and of portions of maps for a modest charge. The income received from the photocopy charge recoups a small fraction of the cost of providing the service. The use of digital cameras without flash may be permitted where special permission has been obtained in advance.
