John Brady: We need a path and I want to know how we can get one, which I think is what the NGOs want to see. A commitment has been given that we will achieve our target by 2030. We lack a clear pathway and I want to know how we will get there while building capacity.

John Brady: I appreciate there is a phone service for Members of the Oireachtas. That was not my concern. It was members of the public and their ability to talk to a member of staff in the Passport Office. It posed serious challenges last year, with people phoning and unable to get hold of someone. Have additional resources, that is, more people, been put in place?

John Brady: I know there is a PR campaign. The system online is efficient and quick. I appreciate and acknowledge all of that, but a greater PR campaign is needed to direct people to the online service. I am not sure what resources are put into that, but a concerted effort to run a PR campaign would be money well spent.
