- Seanad: Priorities in Foreign Affairs: Statements (2 Feb 2012)
Mary White: Yes, if I may ask the question. The Secretary of State, Owen Paterson was in attendance and I was able to inform him of the motion which was passed unanimously here this morning, that the British Government engage with the families of Justice for the Forgotten. I was the one who pushed for this motion, as the Leader will know, and I was successful in having the issue of the Dublin-Monaghan...

- Seanad: Order of Business (1 Feb 2012)
Mary White: I ask the Leader to arrange for a question and answer session with the Taoiseach in the Seanad. I assure him that the House would be full for such an event. When I sought election to the Seanad in 2002, I was not a member of a local authority, but I had been on the national executive of Fianna Fáil. During that election campaign I saw what local authority members did, and their role in communities is seriously underestimated. Having travelled throughout the country and...
