Brian Stanley: I ask about the EU's part-time worker directive. There were a few attempts this morning to raise the issue in the context of Dunnes Stores workers trying to secure their jobs and hours of work, as well as fair pay and the right to representation by a trade union.

There was a long discussion today but the workers still need protection. This EU directive, if fully transposed, would help to protect Dunnes Stores workers and secure their hours and terms and conditions. Will the Government give a clear answer, as there has been no answer...
