Róisín Shortall: The Health Service Executive has agreed that any medical card holder who genuinely engages with the review of their medical card will not have their entitlement withdrawn before that review is complete, regardless of the expiry date shown on their medical card. Róisín Shortall: Follow up services for patients who have purchased hearing aids from a private provider is a matter of private contract between the hearing aid providers and the patients. While I have no role in relation to this matter, I would expect that private hearing aid providers would provide the necessary follow up and repair and maintenance service for their patients.
