Diarmuid Wilson: Since I started here in 2002, there have been many changes. At the time I sat where the Government parties are sitting and some of them sat where I am today. There were Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael Senators. There were Progressive Democrats Senators. There were a few genuine Independent Senators at that time as well.

We disagree on some issues, but not all issues, and we are all of the same mind.Hundreds of people have passed through this Chamber, some of whom have gone to the Lower House where they think it is better, but we know better.
