Eamon Gilmore: The heads of the regulation of lobbying Bill have been approved by Government and the Bill is expected to be published early in the new year. The draft heads of the bail Bill are at an advanced stage and it is not possible to indicate when it will be published.

Eamon Gilmore: We do not have legislation on the list for the issue but I agree with Deputy O'Brien in that this is a serious issue. The matter of people finding themselves in trouble with moneylenders requires attention but the area might be usefully addressed by the Oireachtas committee dealing with finance. It could make recommendations for consideration by the Government.
