Shane Ross: Dr. Braiden might not, but she probably does not fly with Ryanair. I just looked on the website this morning, and booking in advance could certainly be done for a lot less than €100 each way, and sometimes less than half of that.

Public Accounts Committee: Business of Committee (21 Nov 2013)

Shane Ross: Okay. That is fine.

Public Accounts Committee: Business of Committee (21 Nov 2013)

Shane Ross: That is fine as long as we do not accept the thesis of the Central Bank. To put it bluntly, it seems the Central Bank is ducking us. Public Accounts Committee: Business of Committee (21 Nov 2013)

Shane Ross: One particular sentence says that it would be the "preference of the bank" that its encounters with the Oireachtas on such matters of policy should be through the established channels, but I do not give a hoot about the preference of the bank.

Public Accounts Committee: Business of Committee (21 Nov 2013)

Government Decision on Exiting Programme of Financial Support: Motion (Resumed) (20 Nov 2013)

Shane Ross: I congratulate the Minister of State, who is not in the Chamber, on his speech. It was one of those rare occasions where a Minister of State was not reading from a script. He spoke very eloquently but when he started getting into his stride I wished he had his script back again. I am very tired of Ministers and Government spokespersons continually telling us how pleased they are in Europe...
