Robert Troy: At the end of August 2012, the hospital had 13,593 inpatient charges, with an average length of stay of 3.39 days. It dealt with 4,748 day case procedures. Overall activity in the hospital is 2.5% ahead of activity for the same time last year while the hospital expenditure runs at €1.09 million less than last year.

I have asked the Minister to visit the hospital and I do so again. He was in Westmeath a number of months ago to open a new long-term residential care facility.
