Jerry Buttimer: Amendment No. 1, in the name of Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin, seeks to provide that a person under 18 years of age who has been diagnosed with a serious illness or a serious congenital condition should have full eligibility for a medical card, notwithstanding his or her parents means.
