Catherine Murphy: The FAI has made some recent changes to its rules in respect of the role of the honorary treasurer, as per page 13, rule 18.6. Prior to these changes, the treasurer was responsible for establishing an audit committee but now the board has that responsibility. The responsibility has been taken away from the treasurer and has been extended to the board as a whole. Why was that rule change made?

Catherine Murphy: The FAI has taken the responsibility away from the treasurer exclusively and has given it to the board and the treasurer. As we heard earlier, the treasurer was not told of a major financial transaction.
