Michael Ring: They need the money and the Minister should pay them. When the DIRT issue arose, the Government took the money from the people involved. This money is due to the participants in the scheme and they should be paid.

Michael Ring: I am glad the Minister will examine the legal ramifications of the court decision and that he will not appeal but the scheme should revert to its original form, as advertised by the Department. When students seek unemployment assistance, they must produce proof they are looking for work. A judgment has been made in the courts and the Minister should revert to the original system, which was fair.
