We hear the figure of 3,828 children who are homeless or in emergency accommodation but that is only children who are in emergency accommodation funded by the Department. There are more. Do we have the extended figure which includes children in refuges or direct provision and so on?

The question is: why is there no global figure for how many children are in emergency accommodation or homeless accommodation funded by all the Departments, in other words funded by the State not just Mr. McCarthy's Department? It would give us a more accurate picture of how many children are classed primarily as homeless.
