Frances Fitzgerald: I am informed by the Courts Service that there have been no prosecutions to date under Section 22 of the Road Traffic Act 2002 as amended. I am, however, further informed that the Courts Service is currently examining arrangements for notifying An Garda Síochána of instances of non-compliance with the provision, to facilitate the initiation of prosecutions where appropriate.
