Eamon Ryan: The appropriate organisation in respect of such engagement would be the SEAI, which helped commission the original report. We have the advantage here that there is a detailed feasibility study that could give us lessons for other national applications with recommendations, so I see no reason the residents could not take the route of engaging with the SEAI to see what the best next steps are.

Eamon Ryan: Last year, we had very high water levels. Typically, it is close to 2%. As a result, there was a 50% increase in hydro. As I said, this is because the water volumes were very high. For solar it was 1.4%, which was a 30-fold increase. It was an increase of 3,000%.
