Jerry Buttimer: To go back to Deputy Conway's point on members of management being accomplices or party to reprehensible behaviour, many parents who have made contact with me and, I am sure, other committee members, are seeking accountability and action. I do not want to prejudice anything with regard to the alleged offences. I assume the HSE is awaiting the Garda investigation in this regard.

Jerry Buttimer: The second half of the meeting is on the response from the HSE to the issues raised by the RTE investigations unit broadcast on the Mayo care centre. I apologise to Mr. Healy, Mr. O'Brien, Ms Meany and Dr. Crowley for the lateness of the start to the meeting. Parliamentary democracy means that votes take place and we must attend them. I hope we have not inconvenienced the witnesses too...
