- Ceisteanna (Atógáil) - Questions (Resumed): Programme for Government Review (13 Feb 2019)
Pearse Doherty: On a point of order, if the Taoiseach wrote down the questions in the order they were asked, he would have noticed that I asked my questions before Deputy Boyd Barrett asked his. The Taoiseach did not answer my questions but he answered some of those asked by Deputy Boyd Barrett.

- Ceisteanna (Atógáil) - Questions (Resumed): Programme for Government Review (13 Feb 2019)
Pearse Doherty: I would be interested to hear whether the tender process that has been already agreed can proceed. Many people in my constituency of Donegal and in rural areas, in particular, are waiting for broadband. This process has been something of a shambles with deadlines missed repeatedly. The programme for Government states that the Government will alleviate pressures on household budgets and...
- Ceisteanna (Atógáil) - Questions (Resumed): Seanad Reform (13 Feb 2019)
Pearse Doherty: The issue of Seanad reform has gone on and on. We need to get to a point where a decision is made, as mentioned by Deputy Howlin. We have had review after review. We have the Manning report. We now have the review of the Seanad Reform Implementation Group, which met last May and produced a lengthy report at its first meeting as well as legislation it claims will give effect to the...

In July, the board was informed that the Minister had accepted its memo and had written to the chairperson to confirm that all of the individuals involved were to...

- Ceisteanna ó Cheannairí - Leaders' Questions (13 Feb 2019)
Pearse Doherty: Over the past few weeks, we have borne witness to the scale of the absolute crisis in the health service under the Taoiseach's watch and that of the Minister, Deputy Harris. Our nurses and midwives were forced to take to the streets, which would never have happened if the Minister had listened to and taken on board their concerns over the recruitment and retention crisis. General...

- Ceisteanna ó Cheannairí - Leaders' Questions (13 Feb 2019)
Pearse Doherty: Should the Minister have taken on board the advice of the director general of the HSE? Should he have consulted the laboratories to avoid the crisis we are in today? Is it not now really time to face up to the fact that the Minister has to go?
- Ceisteanna ó Cheannairí - Leaders' Questions (13 Feb 2019)
Pearse Doherty: It was in the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, Deputy Eoghan Murphy, actually.
- Ceisteanna ó Cheannairí - Leaders' Questions (13 Feb 2019)
Pearse Doherty: Let me be very clear to the Taoiseach. The women at the heart of this latest scandal are our wives, sisters and mothers in Sinn Féin. Therefore, the Taoiseach should not lecture me about my concern for people whom we love. What has occurred is a direct result of a political decision that was made without any analysis by the Minister for Health. The Minister for Health has said he had...

Pearse Doherty: Has the Taoiseach informed himself, as the Head of Government, of any potential conflict of interest between PwC, which is carrying out the inquiry on behalf of the Department, and the main construction company, BAM? Has he personally questioned the fact that BAM has PwC on its books as its auditors? Is he satisfied there is no conflict of interest? If he is, will he outline his reasons to...
- An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business (12 Feb 2019)
Pearse Doherty: The Minister appointed the board without asking any questions as to whether this was on track. Does the Taoiseach believe it is appropriate for a Minister to appoint an entire board without even having a conversation with the chairman to see how a project is going, if it is overrunning or if is in budget or without asking any questions of that nature?

- An tOrd Gnó - Order of Business (12 Feb 2019)
Pearse Doherty: ------and continuing to protect the Minister, Deputy Harris. However, I am glad that, at least, some Members of the Fianna Fáil Parliamentary Party do not support his position. I appeal to those members to avail of the opportunity to vote no confidence in the Minister because he is clearly out of his depth. Instead of briefing the media, they should put their money where their mouth is.

Pearse Doherty: On the need for further information, the Taoiseach is correct that the Minister, Deputy Harris, answered questions on the matter for nine hours in the House. However, he failed to acknowledge that at no time did the Minister mention that he was aware of a potential overrun of €391 million as long ago as last August.
