Brendan Smith: At present my Department has approximately 45 legal cases under consideration involving either Foreshore or Aquaculture licensing. Of these, 16 cases are currently before the Courts. The remainder are at various stages of legal preparation. Pending the judicial outcome in each case it is not possible to quantify the financial implications.
