Jerry Buttimer: Given his role and the quality of the presentations Geoffrey Shannon gives - not just to us - is there a regular level of consultation, and how interactive is it? My experience, and I am sure it is the committee's experience also, is that he is very independent but also a thought-provoking and sincere person. He presents great reports to this committee.
