Jerry Buttimer: The committee had the leaders of "Operation Transformation" appear before the committee as well as the experts and we were involved with the "Operation Transformation" programme itself. If the Minister can work with the committee he will find support in terms of the pursuit of that agenda.

In respect of Healthy Ireland, the Minister has spoken about being the person who wants to lead that, for which I commend him. Jerry Buttimer: In terms of the issue we are addressing, namely, young people and dental and oral hygiene, it took away the ability of parents to make that choice. They did not make the choice and elected to not do anything. The second issue is ophthalmology in the south. I know it is probably a HSE matter rather than the Department's Vote but it is an issue that is becoming very difficult in the south.
