Michael D'Arcy: I accept the Deputy's point. However, if someone makes a claim or takes a case against the agent, he or she has to go through the process for an agent. Subsequent to the outcome of that process, the person might have to take two cases if both entities are regulated.

Michael D'Arcy: The Chair is referring to the compellability for witnesses to appear before Oireachtas committees. The referendum on this issue was lost. That is the only way in which this matter can be addressed.

Michael D'Arcy: I do not know of another route but I encourage all such companies to accede to any request to appear before the committee. They are trading in this jurisdiction. The Houses of the Oireachtas are our Legislature and such companies should appear before the appropriate committees.
