Éamon Ó Cuív: I am referring to an attitude that does not respect the wishes of people in the region. Is it the Minister's position that even if Galway City Council and Galway Port Company adopt a resolution asking him to delete the reference to Galway Port, he will decline to do so? Will he give a straight answer to that question? Is that his position?

If Galway City Council and Galway Port Company pass a resolution asking the Minister to maintain the status quo in order that a future Minister could declare the port a tier 2 port, as a State company, will he delete the reference to Galway Port in Schedule 1?
