Anthony Lawlor: This legislation may apply to the voluntary sector which may have a volunteer working as company secretary. That may be a reason to cover that sphere. I share Deputy Calleary's concerns. I can see the reason this would apply to voluntary companies but not to professional companies.

Anthony Lawlor: I have a question for the Minister of State about the auditing of audit companies and auditors. Most of us here would have problems with auditing companies, especially the big four. Anthony Lawlor: I believe we are dealing with that under the Finance Bill. During his Budget Statement, the Minister for Finance mentioned shelf companies that are using Ireland as a means of not paying tax - not all here but also elsewhere. I believe this is addressed under the Finance Bill to be discussed in the Dáil this week.
