Brian Stanley: We are very interested in seeing that. When will we see the report regarding progress and final costs for the children's hospital? We have been pursuing this matter for a considerable period. The hospital board told us a long time ago that the report had gone to the Department. The Department has had a considerable period to look at it. We are anxious to know about the progress. This is...

Public Accounts Committee: Financial Statement 2020 and Related Matters: HSE (Resumed) (23 Sep 2021)

Brian Stanley: Can we expect to have it in the next two or three months? We have been told many times it would be available along with the final costs. I do not expect Mr. Colman to say what the final cost is, although I would like to hear it. I understand there are negotiations ongoing with the contractor. They should not be still ongoing on a project that is two thirds of the way there. It is...

Brian Stanley: I will go back to an issue I raised with Mr. Reid last week regarding the ambulance services. I have spoken to people at different levels of the ambulance services. Public Accounts Committee: Financial Statement 2020 and Related Matters: HSE (Resumed) (23 Sep 2021)

Brian Stanley: Working groups are examining deployment and that is good, particularly the fact there are front-line staff involved. I mentioned at our previous meeting that ambulances being dragged from Laois to Cork and Wexford, and all over the place. Am I correct in saying distance is one of the issues being seriously examined by those working groups? I ask for a "Yes" or "No".

Public Accounts Committee: Financial Statement 2020 and Related Matters: HSE (Resumed) (23 Sep 2021)

Brian Stanley: I wish to return to the integrated financial management system. In 2014, as I understand it, there was recognition that such a system was needed. A decision was made to go ahead with it. In 2017, as I understand it, SAP was appointed. I noted Mr. Reid's earlier response on the matter. My understanding is that it has now entered design stage, or that was the stage it was at a week or two...
