Margaret Murphy O'Mahony: I am aware Deputy Daly has been a supporter of the deaf community and an advocate of Irish Sign Language. However, the amendments have been discussed at length and collaborated on with my party colleague, Senator Mark Daly, the Irish Deaf Society, members of the deaf community and the Minister of State and his officials and we cannot support the amendment put forward by the Deputy.
