Tom Parlon: The canal in question does not form part of any drainage scheme for which the Commissioners of Public Works have a maintenance responsibility under the Arterial Drainage Act 1945. The Office of Public Works will not, therefore, be carrying out any works to the waterway.

The drain in question, while connecting two channels of the Moy catchment drainage scheme, does not, in fact, form part of the scheme.
