David Stanton: ...sure if the witnesses have any update for us on the unified patent court and what is happening with that. Having that in place would support innovation and entrepreneurs and so on. If Dr. Coates does not have that today, he might come back to us with it.

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation: Sustainable Development Goals: Discussion (15 Nov 2023)

David Stanton: I thank Dr. Coates for that. I agree with him that it is hugely important that people are aware of this. I looked at the Department website and this does not seem to be mentioned on the opening page at all, in any shape or form. There is nothing I can see. Maybe it is hidden and if I dig deep down into something it is probably there. I put it to Dr. Coates that it is really important to...

He further mentioned that OCHA engages "with militaries, de facto authorities, and non-state armed groups to negotiate access and aid to besieged or hard-to-reach communities". Does that mean that OCHA talks to virtually anybody and does the best it can to keep all lines of communication open or are there groups that OCHA refuses to talk to, for whatever reason?

David Stanton: Does Mr. Rajasingham reckon there are more?

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Defence: Global Humanitarian Response: United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (14 Nov 2023)

David Stanton: I take it they are mainly Rohingya refugees. Places like that often slip down the timetable or storyline of the media and are forgotten about. Does it concern Mr. Rajasingham that there are so many people like that in many parts of the world who are not highlighted or not known and they slip down very quickly? At the moment, Ukraine has slipped down because what is happening in Gaza has...

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation: Skills and Supports Required for Businesses to Meet Decarbonisation Targets: Discussion (8 Nov 2023)

Joint Oireachtas Committee on Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation: Skills and Supports Required for Businesses to Meet Decarbonisation Targets: Discussion (8 Nov 2023)

David Stanton: ...need to be on the SEAI register of installers or on the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine approved list if targeted agriculture modernisation schemes, TAMS, grants are to be issued. Does the SEAI have a formal arrangement with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine to enable it to access the SEAI list and use it as part of its grant approval process?

Ceisteanna Eile - Other Questions: Disability Services (7 Nov 2023)

David Stanton: I thank the Minister of State for her response. I know her heart is in the right place. Perhaps she will send me on the figures she says she does not have in front of her regarding the unmet need and the research behind that to find out what the unmet need is. David Stanton: ...been searching for the registered installer list of actual installers on his Department's website. I can only find the accepted solar PV registered installer list, which lists the companies. It does not list the actual individual electricians. I cannot find it. Will the Minister tell me if there is such a list in his Department? There are two forms that are required to be filled out...
