Seán Sherlock: A number of weeks ago, I sought a debate in this House on the same issue following a report on suicide in the Irish Examiner. I support Deputy Seán Power's request in this regard. It is a fundamental issue for Irish society and time should be made available for a substantive and qualitative debate on the nature of suicide.
