Tom Parlon: The drain in question does not form any part of any drainage scheme for which the Commissioners of Public Works have a maintenance responsibility under the Arterial Drainage Act 1945. I understand responsibility for the cleaning of the drain rests with the landowner.

Tom Parlon: I am advised by my officials in the Office of Public Works that arrangements are currently being put in place for the carrying out of repairs to the houses at Johns Quays which were affected by the flood relief scheme.
