Enda Kenny: My Department has procedures in place to ensure that correspondence received here is dealt with appropriately. Correspondence of the nature outlined by the Deputy is brought to the attention of relevant Ministerial offices. I have seen Deputy Flanagan's recent letter, co-signed by a number of Deputies. The individual correspondence outlined is receiving attention.

Enda Kenny: Information is not currently available which would make it possible to distinguish the cost to my Department of answering Parliamentary Questions from the overall administrative cost associated with the operation of the Department more generally. The full cost in answering Parliamentary Questions would also need to take account of the costs arising for the Houses of the Oireachtas.
