- Topical Issue Debate: Disability Services Funding (19 Nov 2015)
Kathleen Lynch: The Deputy's sense of outrage and attitude to everything is exactly the same. Every time I hear him, regardless of the issue, his tone is the same and his sense of outrage is the same. Outrage does not solve problems.

- Developments in Mental Health Services: Statements (19 Nov 2015)
Kathleen Lynch: It is not that. I was not going to make much of a contribution anyway because what I find most offensive is that everyone who came into the House to speak got up and left afterwards. If they are so interested in mental health, the least they could do is sit down and listen to the debate.

Kathleen Lynch: I will consider Deputy Byrne’s request this afternoon and see how we can progress it because the Deputy has been talking about it for a considerable time. To respond to Deputy Ó Caoláin’s question about respite and Deputy McLellan’s comment about the 600,000 people and the breakdown of respite hours,...
- Joint Oireachtas Committee on Health and Children: Disability Issues Update: Minister of State at the Department of Health (19 Nov 2015)
Kathleen Lynch: Most people with a disability want their own space rather than respite. There are people, however, who will never be in a position to live as independently as they would like and will need supports, whether in separate accommodation or not. Some have such profound difficulties that they will always need the type of wraparound service being provided at the moment in this case. We will...
