Fergus O'Dowd: Until the legislation is passed, we will not be able to collect the levy. When companies are licensed to offer betting services in this jurisdiction, they will become liable to the taxes on bets and it will be gathered by the Revenue Commissioners in the normal way. It is expected that €20 million will be collected once the licensing regime for the online sector is in place.
