Bertie Ahern: There are six staff assigned to the communications unit and it estimated the total cost of the unit for 2004 is â¬314,402. Of this, â¬120,428 is a direct cost to my Department with on average â¬38,795 being borne by the five other Departments who have staff seconded to the unit. A total of 720 files or file parts were transferred to the National Archives by my Department and released for public inspection on 1 January, 2004. Six files were withheld. The Bill listed under the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform, the second Bill about which the Deputy asked, is to enable dormant funds in the courts to be applied for other purposes.
