Kathleen Lynch: The National Office for Suicide Prevention which was established by the HSE in 2005 is part of the internal organisation of that body and the appointment of a Director is a matter for the HSE. On that basis the question has been referred to the HSE for direct reply.

Kathleen Lynch: Since the introduction of the current registration and inspection regime for nursing homes in 2009 the Health Information and Quality Authority has received three complaints relating in some part to inspectors involved in the inspection of nursing homes. Two of these complaints are ongoing. In respect of the third case I understand that some elements of the complaint were upheld.
